yeah, was thinking the same thing. coincidentally the two members whose units have been shipped (supposedly) have just a few posts.

i guess nukai tries to make it look as if the ren is already available so users don´t buy the new NI maschine.

haha. nice try nukai. fvck ya! :fku:

Would definitely expect a fanfare from Akai about this, rather than a quiet, under the carpet release. The 'news' page on Akai's site hasn't been updated since November 2011. The Akai twitter oracle says nothing, and he's always bang on with the company knowledge

If your Ren is here, I want a screenshot from the 'About' screen, which will give the version number of the software you are running - just a screenshot from the actual software app will do.

Oprah has quite a few posts.. but maybe it's just her celeb status?! One of my posts said that musicians friend is shipping direct from manufacturer where other company's like sweetwater don't since they are independently run in indiana (state right next to me) Now if you pay for 2 day shipping you will be more likely to get it sooner than guitar center/ sam ash/ or your local retailer depending on your location(ship location Kansas).Factor in labor day weekend which delays shipping Plus I saved 190 and musicians friend still has 15% off..

u guys better have ur camera phone ready i wanna see youtube unbox vids (which are typically useless) but in this case i wanna all dat shit

and i wanna see the true test that once software is installed u can just plug in the usb turn ur monitor off then use the ren like u would any other mpc.

if it passes that test then u know nuakia have actually smashed it.

Ok this thread is still unlocked so I'll assume that Ren has actually shipped, but why hasn't Akai made more noise about it?! Did this music store leak the units early (by accident)?

NI advertised Oct1 release date for MKII, but no peep from Akai now if it's out?!

Akai did say late summer so if they are shipping then they met their deadline. Meanwhile, NI is doing their thing. Can't wait to try out 1.8. And no need for Christmas lights if you get the MKII.
