RunningOnE: Please tell us about the latency of renaissance built-in soundcard. That's really important for me like a potential buyer...

Sorry for bad english, I'm Czech :)

A few seem to be sitting in wet spots before anyone with any kind of real sincerity has actually touched or shown off the gear itself in any detail. People put too much stock in gear before using it. I really hope it lives up to these people's expectations.

RunningOnE has generously broken the ice for those fiending over this thing, so there's no need to show more boxes or whatever. I'm not personally impressed by boxes though (no offense to RunningOnE since s/he was just providing proof of their claims). I'll judge the gear by what it's truly capable of without bias. If the gear is good, it will speak for itself and people will buy it. If it's not, it will be judged accordingly. There will be bugs obviously but as long as they're not "full-stop" and Akai are proactive in fixing them, it will be forgiven. Even for people who've become a bit dissuaded near the end or whom remain neutral, I'm sure still want to see if they actually pulled it off, even if just out of curiosity at this point. We all stand to benefit from companies competing for our approval. Regardless, the best thing about it actually being shipped is that hopefully it will quash some of the hype, feigning and speculation in favor of a real perspective.

Before you get too excited 4 of the 5 discs don't seem to have the samples working yet. You can not hear them and they will not load. However there is still a large amount working, but you have to drag every sample to where you want it on the pad. Reinstalled software but no difference.. Still a bunch of 60/2000/ 3000/ 5000 sounds and random samples to load and work with now

Still need to mess with chopping and make/save a kit to use

All that pointless bitching is gone.

We don't want to lock this thread, so take the e-beef to PM's if you really must.
