got me my frostwave.....

yes yes yes...my resinator turned up yesterday...what a lush filter!! its based on the ms20 filter of old and sounds very very good.....very nice for what i do which is housy stuff....

my monitors arrived too so ive actually got some decent elements to my setup now....****'-hoo...

we were talking filters the other day and as a cheap alternative to the sherman you cant beat it...

yeah, I love the frostwave stuff, I got 3 o them so far, actually 4 counting the midi cv interface.

have you ran an audio signal into one of the cv ins yet?

yup. Try the original audio signal inverted to the cv in.

THats great news Dub. I've heard a lot of good things about frostwave, but never tried them myself.

nicest sounding filter ive used...got some gloriously thick bass tones outta it...its all about the highpass resonance...

Ive been using one for a few years now... couldnt afford the sherman so i went for the resonator. Nice little filter. I also use the funk a duck envelope follower, but I managed to lose the power supply for one of them.


What do you mean "run the audio signal inverted into the cv in?"
Ive tried triggering the filter via cv and running an audio signal in there but am confused on this one.

Audio rate modulation of filter cutoff or resonance.

you can run outs from your soundcard and have audio files of CV or LFO's and such do some modulations.

if you invert it the louder the signal, the lower the cutoff.
