This is the type of sample editor the professional needs.

Looks like Apple recently bought out this company. Looks like they want to crush the game with the new Logic.

Check this out...especially the 7 minute mark. The Penrose Machine algorithm. This capability is much more important to me than 6 gigs of stock sounds.

This is keymap pro s*** is crazy ! ! ! Maybe one day we will see this type from MPC soft done on the fly without mouse or keyboard.

thanks for posting that, the features of keymap pro are definitely insane  has the software been pulled since the company was bought by apple? can't seem to find a website or any official info on the product..

The Redmatica products have always been tremendously powerful utilities. I can't help but wish that Kontakt had some of the advanced AutoSampler features and automated features of Keymap Pro. Let's just hope Apple doesn't do what they and Google have been doing historically, buying up upstarts and discontinuing their products without really integrating them. Hopefully we'll see the acquisition result in features inside a new version of EXS24 or such.

Those unlucky to have just learned of the software from Redmatica are out of luck unless they can acquire it by other means or are Apple users and Apple delivers. Image

As for the MPC Renaissance. I'm going to withheld my final judgement until I see more in-depth reviews and videos or can try it in person. So far though, as a piece of software alone it pales in comparison to a lot of other options. In turn, after seeing the software I lost all interest in the Studio, despite having loosely considered the Studio and despite having no interest in the Ren's audio I/O. The software as it stands, combined with the more advanced controller is the only arrangement even worth considering, for me which takes the Studio out of the equation. This does not mean I will buy it though. As a dedicated controller combined with a piece of software, they seem to have fulfilled many people's wishes with possibly only a few holes left to be filled, as long as it's maintained and stable. It looks like simplicity in the vein of previous MPC, which is undeniably a good workflow for many and a viable alternative to something like Maschine. Of course there will be people who are looking for something more or less or whom other options may work better. I'm one of those people. I will evaluate it further when or if I have one in my possession, since most gear passes through my hands eventually, but I don't feel like it offers me much of anything at this point. For those who orientate themselves around MPC, this may be revolutionary. For those who use MPC as periphery to other tools, it's only evolutionary. Either way, it's starting to look like Akai did a fairly decent job, so far.

I still want to see some of that A.I.R prowess intermingle with the MPC software though. :)

Might have to wait until the new Logic comes out. Apple took down the Redmatica webbsite where they sold the program.

I think the question is, will Apple pull a "Shake" or will they pull a "Logic". If they pull a "Shake" then all of those Redmatica gems are forever lost in the tresses of memory and gone forever.

All of the other alternatives don't come close to what Redmatica offered, in my opinion. At least everyone who owns them can continue to until OSX says "no". So far, so good.

something tells me those features will definitely get ported into exs/logic, they're just too good for apple to sleep on, i know i'd definitely consider switching back to logic if they do..

I have several redmatcia products and Im read in a online blog that they are going to be part of logic pro 10 with a revamp sampler as exs is finally getting updated yeah. Even though exs was well integrated into logic Kontakt blew out the water as far as tweakablity and functionality. I really looking forward to a possible 2012 release of logic pro 10 as it will give me alot more music making options than any drum machine could. I have been using logic since ver 6 apple has made it much improved with each new update still exs need some revamping and redmatica is a great addition for that.

I hope they redesign ultrabeat to an 808 style GUI or something to make it less crowded.

For sure, Blue Haze. I really hope we get to see it come into fruition. Having the virtual instrument integrated into the DAW is what makes solutions like Live and A.I.R's Transfuser so very powerful. Having that in Logic (we already do to some degree) with some of the advanced features of the Redmatica product pedigree would really make ESX24 a force all it's own. This says nothing against software with dedicated controllers like the MPC Series or Maschine though, of course. I believe both methodologies can be used side-by-side without having to choose between exclusively using dedicated controller products or those without.
