Exchange tips and tricks for the Akai MPC4000

Alright, i'm in no way, shape, form, or fashion, a newbie to the 4000, I've had her for like 8 yrs. My current problem is that my sound output seems to have a mind of its own. It's like the sound rotates from left to right and low to high volumes at random times. I've used both the headphone port and the main out ports, and the same problem occurs. If somebody has experienced this issue and resoved it, please let me know what you did. Thanks in advance!

have never encountered this, what are your pan and volume settings in the mixer page doing

All of my mixer parameters are set to its default positions. Its like doing a soft pan, similar to the rotary speaker effect, in addition, the velocity levels are changing randomly. I also just realized that this isn't affecting the output of any of my drum tracks, or when I press a drum on the pad bank. Primarily whatever samples that are incorporate into the sequence is affected.

Agreed, the matrix could be changing some parameters, amp and pan etc.

If you can, try to reinstall OS if it's not the matrix

Make sure you have QLink Seq off...and make sure your slider q links are all the way to the top.

Maybe unwanted live automation due to worn qlink sliders? This used to happen to my 2kxl variaton slider. You know when the slider is bad, you can barely touch it and values go crazy.
