I am using a Mac. Any suggestions for a high quality screen capture app that I can buy/download?

Sorry I don't know any straight off, others might. However you could use your iPhone and do it the cheap way or dslr and I think most of us would prefer to see you working on the hardware without using the main computer the same as working with maschine. Of course during the chopping phase you could highlight the monitor.

You can use the Quicktime player to do a screen recording. Not sure about the quality though.

I tried that on the Mac. It is terrible...sound quality was poor.

I have to agree there. I tried using it for Maschine videos and it just wasn't good enough for that kind of thing...

JAH wrote:6. Manuals. They are copyrighted. Not sure if you can post links to copyrighted material if Akai hasn't done it themselves. Mods?

Since Akai haven't updated their website with the manual, I would have thought a paying customer may have forsaken corporate loyalty to share the manual. Copyright infringement isn't an issue unless you are selling or claiming some type of ownership of the property, or are shackled by an NDA. Besides, version 1.0 of the manual/ quick start is now in the public domain, even Oprah has it!

Pretty much everything available on the Internet is 'copyright' material, credit the owner/ author and there shouldn't be an issue. Somehow I just don't see Akai trying to sue a customer for sharing the PDF.

I don't know how many people have recieved their Ren's already, but there is no law against them sharing the goddamn manual lol...but then some of you guys are in the US so you could get shipped to Guantanamo Bay...

Your comments have been borderline outrageous lately. Chill out. This isn't about coporate loyalty or any other silly thing you imply. Its a matter of can we post a link to a manual for individuals to download in this forum? Yes or No?

Edit - And if so, moderators please add the MPC Ren's manual to the MPC OS & Manuals link posted at the top of the page as you already have it.

Thank you.

@JAH

My earlier post wasn't directed at you. By 'paying customer' I was referring to anyone who has paid for and received their unit. Dont get paranoid thinking every comment I make is about you. I think you're a cool dude, just a bit irritating at the best of times.

Post the manual if you want to, I won't remove it.

Lol at reporting a mod's post to the mod's...

You have to go back and re-read your post. Some of the same words my stalkers have been using. So if I an paranoid, know you know why. Personally, I don't have issues with you with the exception of you and your 98 Posse locking my feature request threads. This forum still doesn't get that JJ OS Forum love.

If the manuals are available..why not post them in the MPC OS & MANUALs link and be done with it?

Not sure about anyone else but when I read this thread, these posts came across as DEMANDING of the OP.

He had the fcking thing less than a day. And my initial point still stands: if you hear what you're asking for right now and decide, 'holy **** that's exactly what I wanted! I'm buying one' you still have to wait a couple of weeks for them to become available to those who haven't pre-ordered. Therefore... hold your **** horses :fku:

if you are going to quote me... look at the context of my statement before you use me as an example. the OP asked a question:

RunningOnE wrote:Do you just want a sample of 3000/ 60/ other for emulation modes?

and i answered with a suggestion.

Great news about external controllers!

Can external controllers be used to RECORD AUTOMATION?

(This CAN'T be done on Maschine at the moment and would be a major plus point for the Ren/Studio!)
