zip drive installation question

i haven't had my mpc plugged up or tried to use it in a long time and am now trying to set it up. one end of my zip has long bolts on it with seeming double nuts on each bolt that are manufactured to not be removed. they are part of the bolt. where the bolt screws would screw in on my mpc are phillips head bolt heads so nothings going in those holes. i was thinking of cutting off the bolts to make it work but i remember having it plugged in before somehow. i'm tired so maybe i'm not thinking straight. can somebody help me? i also need to know which order to turn on and off the zip and mpc. and what settings should be on the back of the zip and which ports to use. i found the information searching before but if someone could tell me i would love to have an easy reference for myself to look up. i've got a iomega zip 100 and a mpc3000 to clarify. thanks in advance

Start Up: Turn your ZiP Drive on first then Your MPC.
Shut Down: Power off your MPC and Then your ZiP Drive.

ZiP 100 --- DB25 to DB25 Cable --- MPC

termination off? scsi id 5?

i just found out why those bolts were so long and had nuts on the bottom of them. they were supposed to be screwed into the mpc instead of having screwbolts holding the female connection end on. they screwed off the ends when i went at em with a pair of channel locks. problem solved.
