triton extreme

has anyone used the triton extreme with the 4k. If so can u tell me how u recorded from the triton to 4k, and how u kept the sound when u tried to record something else from the triton. everytime i record something and i want to add another element from the triton the previous recording changes. if i make any sense please help.

change the midi channel i.e track 2 move from drum to intrsument, set midi channel to chanel 1. make sure the track on triton is the same as on the mp, you should be able to record that sound you want. the key is changing the channel on the mp and the tracks on the triton. one

This is an easy way to do this. I already know that you have your midi connections right (ESP)!!
But to get you started do this: Create a drum beat on MPC, by default you are in drumgroup (type) and out 1 is set to PART. So make it 8 bars (just for GP). Now that is Track 1. Set MPC to Track 2, change from drumgroup to keygroup and where out 1= part, change this to "Out A" this will enable your midi from Triton to be used on track 2. Now you have track 1 as your drum beat and are ready to record a bass line on Track 2 of MPC. On the Triton make sure you are in Sequencer mode and press track 1. Set this to a bass sound. Record this and you now have 2 tracks done. Go to track 3 on MPC and set to keygroup, Out A and on Triton press track 2 and find a keyboard sound to record on track 3 of MPC. Notice that you are on Track 3 of the MPC and using track 2 of Triton. This is because you used Track 1 of MPC for drum beat so you will be one track less on Triton. after you have saved your songs on MPC and want to listen to them later all you need to do is to remember to set track 1 of Triton to bass, Track 2 to Keyboard, etc.

By the Way, for you other folks, if I am off a little bit please step in and make corrections for me. Also help out if there is an easier or better way but this is how I got started. So please feel free.
