Mpc Renaissance answers to questions

Well so far the only I don't like is the cheap ac adapter. They could have made it much longer for more move around room. The pads are great compared to, Maschine and even my,Mpc 5000 pads also. I really like Maschine but just like this alot much better, it still has room for improvement though.

So far, its great, and extremely fun to create with.
Lets get an Add/Remove Slice for the sample edit/chopping section, Rtas support (which has been confirmed is on the way), working legacy mpc support, and a few other things (bugs)... and it will be unstoppable. This is without a doubt, definitely a version 1.0, so I wasn't expecting it to be 100%.

If the Ren's sound interface can be used by other software, then theoretically I can plug in Maschine, and set it to the Ren's interface, and use the vintage mode on it...? I wouldn't do this while creating... but for the fun of it...i'll try it out.

I think the software also could be a lot more user friendly too.

Can one of you guys let me borrow your Ren, I'll give it back, I promise.

It goes without saying that the software can be improved. But what specific aspects would you like improved? What can be more user-friendly?

Legacy MPC file format has not been completed implemented in v1. The manual is too vague. It list Akai samplers as being compatible but doesn't give you specifics. The website currently only states sequences and samples. It doesn't give you a list such as ALL, APS, Set, PRJ, etc.

Jah like its not as easy to load projects from mpc 5000 as it may seem.

How do you mean exactly?

When loading mpc 5000 project inside the renaissance only some of the tracks play.

Oh also it does not look like the Ren supports the macbook pro retina display unit yet.

right. If I can get the sequences to play, I'll be fine. I've found a work around for now.
I'll be waiting on 1.1.
