WELL when I go to sample something from my cdj2000 (cd record player).. I can not hear what is being sampled..is this normal? (this may have to do with my settings but damn ive tried everything) When you hit record you hear nothing and think it didn't record. But then you play back and there it is. Have no exact idea when to stop playing record unless I open up logic and have it play through there as well. I don't always feel like chopping through a long song for 1 or 2 clips

A bypass would be nice.. or maybe I just have it set up wrong

DJ mixer is attached to my interface with 8 inputs (stereo 3+4)

Mpc prefrences has audio device from my interface (3+4) selected

I can sample this way.. but can't hear the audio even though it is obviously recording it. Had some trouble using the rca connection but don't know if that would change things. Thanks

I've sampled quite a few trax directly into my MPC via the Stereo Input jacks from my turntables. This allows you to both hear and adjust the volume of the track you're sampling.

Just run the Stereo Out from your mixer to the Stereo Input on your MPC and you should be off and running.

1. Set Mic/Line Source; increase record gain
2. Set Input to External

3. Turn Direct Monitor knob left to 'Input" (Level Meter Inactive)

or
3. Turn Direct Monitor knob right to "Computer"
4. Turn Monitor ON (Level Meters Active)
