I have my monitors connected through my Gen 3 Mbox. Now, instead of unhooking the monitors from my mbox, and running them in the main outs of my mpc every time I want to use it, is there a cable I can use to have all 3 hooked up at the same time? old school midi cables maybe? Because when I have the monitors hooked up directly to the mpc, my mac obviously doesn't produce any sound, because it's not hooked up. And I want to be able to get sound from both my mpc and my mac at the same time, utilizing the mbox.

MPC into mbox? Route the MPC audio through an audio app?

There are only 1 set out inputs on the mbox, which is already used by my monitors via trs cables. Where does that leave me?

Your monitors are connected to the mbox outputs. There should be a separate set of
inputs for your mpc.

Could I connect the digital outs of the mpc to the s/pidf inputs of the mbox, and be able to monitor sound like that? And, if so, will I need to have a daw open to monitor the signal? or will it monitor automatically with no daw open or anything?
