Got sounds...need keyboard/controller

61-88 keys
Velocity sensitive
Full MIDI
Weighted keys would be nice.
I already have a sound module and microkorg, so the sounds don't matter. I figure an older model would work, but can't seem to find the right one in my price range. ($200)
Any suggestions?

I don't think you'll find a controller with weighted keys for 200. Could be wrong though. May buy secon hand.

I've been looking at controllers recently and think I probably go with a edirol pcr50 or 80. They have semi-weight keys, too.

its got velocity sensitive/semi-weighted keys.

i bought for like 170. I cant remember how much exactly but it was around 200.

Quick question, while I was searching the forum for info I read alot of people saying to get a controller with as many knobs and sliders as possible. What sort of shit are those controls used for? I won't be using it with a comp, so I don't know if I need that stuff.

Roland A33 -> 76 Keys, 2 MIDI Outs, 1 MIDI In, 1 MIDI thru, okay range of velocity sensitivity, semi-weighted keys. Got mine used for ~$215 or so. It's a pain in the ass if you want to change patches using the buttons on the keyboard or program anything else because there's no screen, but for me it's fine cause I don't need it to remember presets. I just use it to trigger (A33 Out -> MPC In; MPC Out -> Modules/Samplers In) and let the MPC remember the patches, etc. There's one on the bay right now, auction start $100, but if you're patient they pop up for $200 Buy It Now.

For $200, you'll find a lot of similar MIDI controllers, but I doubt any will have fully-weighted keys, full range of sensitivity, aftertouch, etc. So at this price point one is as good as any pretty much.
