AC-7 core, TouchOSC to control RME Totalmix software?

I could see how it would disconnect. The iRig doesn't sit flush with the ipad when connected, so that slight space it leaves in-between is just enough that if pushed inward on one side it could possibly disconnect. That hasn't happened to me yet. The ipad stays fixed in one position on the desk while playing and tweaking synths so there isn't much opportunity to disconnect.

Design flaw, lol....Couldnt you just keep a roll and take a couple pieces of scotch tape everytime you connect your iRig to the iPad? Ghey, but problem solved.

Isnt the iRig like 80 bucks? And it doesnt lock into place like the apple cable? **** lame brained engineers working for a software company rushing their new piece of crap component or doohickey onto the market. Dudes should have stuck with Sampletank,

I have the older HSDP so I don't have Total Mix. My mixer GUI is still MIDI mappable though, maybe I'll try it with AC-7, Touch OSC and Lemur.

Just want to throw in a general statement with these apps, if they offer an ad hoc wifi arrangement that's the way to go as far as latency as Undertow mentioned. Night and day compared to just connecting to the local router/network.

The OSC protocol is very low latency as MeSoHordey mentioned and if you're on OS X Osculator is worth the $19-$39 suggested donation.

I have the CCK and the Alesis I/O dock. I love the I/O dock generally but it doesn't handle SysEx so my dreams of making a Touch OSC or Lemur template for the 4000 were dashed. I believe the iConnect suffers from no such SysEx limitations.

Amazingly I've had no polyphony/crackle issues with it on an iPad 1. Might still be time to fashion my own spacer and get the iPad HD in the Alesis though. I'm thinking 2 or 3 comic book backing boards maybe.

An MPC and an iPad with a few top drawer apps is really becoming like a futuristic sequencer/pad/modules setup.

The way the iTunes store is set up it's too hard to find apps so I go to Synthtopia a lot to see what's out and worthy.

I'll mention one more too, CS Sound. Really needs the iPad HD to run but it's a user friendly C-Sound interface that is bananas for wonked out sound design. The idea is to load in your own loops, so I could see a lot of cats here digging it.

I tottally get that I did the same thing, was tottally fixated on touch osc. Lemur is more of a full fledged programming enviorment where touch osc is more just controller design.
