I need help doing this, I made a program
go to save current program,
chose the folder I made, and nothing happens!
It wont do it.

If I use the set location they have, then it will create an .xpm file there, but no samples with it. Thats what I want, but in my own location.

In the File Menu:
1. Select 'Save Current Program'
2. Choose the location you want to save to (like your desk top)
3 Select New Folder; name folder and select ok
4. Click Save

Note - Also make sure Data select is set to 'No Flt' so you can see all your files.

I tried this out just now. Created a folder on my desktop and opened a program. I attempted to save the program in the folder on my desktop.
Same here. the .XPM file is in the folder, but no sounds. Of course, if i save the entire project there, the sounds and the PGM file appear in the folder.

My xpm file wont even save anywhere but in the default location, what happens if you go to your browser in the ren, and find that xpm you saved on your desktop folder and select it and check "no filt" in the browser, are the samples there?

Im on osx 10.6.8

'Save current program' working for me on 10.6.8. If I select 'desktop', create new folder, the xpm and all the samples are saved there in that folder. Definitely no 'general' bug there - it sounds like there's something specific at your end.

BTW if you are checking the file browser after saving, currently it doesn't the currently selected folder refresh automatically (I've already reported this). You'll need to navigate out of the current location and go back to see the refreshed file list. Or click one of the location folders at the top and then go back again.

optik415, that's odd because I have never experienced any problem saving to desktop or the default MPC folder. It sounds like you have a permissions problem on your Mac.

When's the last time you repaired permissions on your boot disk? Utilities > Disk Utility > Boot Disk > Repair Permissions
