Quick question

I already have a MacBook running Logic 9.xx and I have my USB midi keyboard and an USB to 1/4" cable for my guitar. Should I just add an USB microphone (like the BLUE - White Ball) or my other option was to pick up a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 external sound card and just use my existing mics?

personally I'd go with interface over usb mic...this will ensure low latency and clean audio for your recordings plus you'll be able to use any mic

For these same reasons that is the better choice imo also.

Do you already have an audio interface?

Not for the laptop, just using the on board input and output and an USB to 1/4 for my bass and guitar. I think the Scarlett will work better as well and I hear Focusrite has nice mic pres.

Thanks fellas!
