I just bought a MPC1000, hasn't even arrived too my door yet but I'm already considering buying the XL screen & I'm a newbie. :) I love the fact that there are people like Mike & JJ making mods & aftermarket OS systems, just wanted to pop in & say thanks to both of you guys for all your work. I'm so interested in this mod that I've read threw the entire thread, complaining in all.

I'm also interested in the black LCD screen with white text, I know they won't be available for awhile but I was wondering if you (Mike) can provide a screen shot of the black LCD screen with white text, also inverted to white with black text? I seen someone ask this question way earlier when the color screens were first brought up but it went unanswered. I know the white LCD screens can be inverted to black but I'd prefer a true black, not a blue purplish black.

Any update on the mpc1000 XL LCD screen, I seen a post saying 2-3 weeks about 2 weeks ago? Thanks in advance, keep up the good work & I can't wait to see the new JJOS in action!

Free MPC-Samples.com sample packs are now included with the kits.

can we get a side shot of the screen? it's hard to tell from the photos what the angle is. all of the pictures look different. in some of them, the screen looks pretty flat, in others it looks like it's raised up pretty high.

also, none of the videos on this page load for me. can you put them on youtube?

I'm about to buy an MPC 2500 and I really want this screen to rock with it.
But.. i'm pretty worried about installing the screen, maybe I damage something and gone is my money.

Do I need anything special before installing it? Like, I don't know what electric tape is, not really technical myself, only with computers itself.
Do I need to drill holes in it? Or has the installing changed?

Thank you for your answers in advance, I just really want this screen with the 2500 haha.

No drilling required anymore, contrast is handled by the software.

Install is easy and instructions are included as well as the video on mpcstuff.com. Seriously, very easy mod as there's no soldering, just screws and a push connector into the motherboard. Took me approx 30 mins, and that was slow pace. Just handle the screen with care, keep the protective plastic on it until you've finished, just to avoid possible scratches. While you have the MPC open, it's a good time to pop in some different color pads etc, if that's your thing :)

Yes the item is paid for when you purchase it on the site. I assume you are talking about the preorder for the 1000.

Shipping is $20.00 for standard $40 for express.
