I hope sum1 can hook me up cuz I already got like 4 beats done and I want to export w/o the headache.

I'll post a vid this weekend. Thx for lookin out tho. Good to kno I'm not alone on this.

Is it only the first time or does it happen every time you select it?

Happens everytime.

Running at 256 flawlessly. My save prob i simply saved to a whole new directory(i guess anywhere besides the MPC directory or desktop) I have partitioned drives so i saved in my studio drive, made a "MPC Beats" folder and it worked like a charm.I can now enjoy latency-free,no dropouts, laptop closed MPC ren awesomness. If i find other probs ill be sure to report them here.

Can you tell us what wireless adapter you have? Also if you know what driver version you have for it, that would help

Thought it was the bluetooth driver but its the wifi adapter.Just did a test and it works fine with the wifi card disabled and bluetooth mouse/keyboard in effect.Having wifi cards/adapters on is a known prob in the computer audio world.

I can't produce on my end. So I am just waiting for feedback. They are bugs then trying to get them to Akai ASAP.

Try this for me.

1. Start your MPC software fresh; Load a Snare on Pad A01 in Program 001
2. Pull up Program Edit Mode in the software; strike Pad A01 (it should stay green)
3. Find Master Mode (far left) and set to POLY; MUTE TARGET below should be OFF
4. Find Pad Play Mode (right); set your Pad/sample to One-shot and Poly
5. Make sure MUTE GROUP is OFF

Now strike Pad A01 multiple times to see if it works as you expect it.

-------------------

This worked, thanks, I'm used to going to one place to make the whole program poly/mono, on the Ren I guess I have to change the parameter in a few places, and it's per pad. I'm about to try the other one you gave me for the inserts

I'm trying to trouble shoot this issue. Can you try this below:

1. Load a drum kit
2. Assign it to Track 1 and Track 2
3. Record Kicks on Track 1; Record Snares on Track 2
4. Press SHIFT + EFFECT for Effect Mode; DO NOT TOUCH PADS after this
5. Press F2 [Track]; Press F6 [Send]
6. Use your cursor keys and data wheel to select 'Track 1'
7. Add 'Reverb Large' to Send1; turn Level to 100.
8. Press Play and then Stop after 2 bars; Do you hear a Kick with reverb?
9. Use your cursor keys and data wheel to select 'Track 2'
10. Add 'Reverb Large' to Send1; turn Level to 100.
11. Press Play and then Stop after 2 bars; Do you hear a Snare with reverb?

Remember, do not touch pads after Step 3.

This worked too

Your welcome. With the Ren, params were organized into 6 pages with groups of up to 16 params so they correspond to Qlinks. But most of the params are typical of MPCs.

With the 2500, Program Play and Pad Play (voice overlap) are all in the same page.

With this one, I admit that it can be confusing. The manual isn't very clear on how the Effect Mode works.

In Effects Mode's Track menu, striking the pads allow you to select tracks. But at the same time, they trigger samples. I would like to see the trigger of samples disengaged as it can be confusing. The pads here trigger the program on the active track. The Track displayed in the header of that page has nothing to do with the pads.

Add that to the feature suggestions thead. It is currently as designed. I agree with you 100% though.

To the right of the transport in the MPC software, there is a volume knob and meter. This is gives you am indicator of what you are resampling. The knob will lower or increase the volume while resampling. When recording from external source, turn the 'direct mon' knob all the way left and active the Monitor ON switch. The level meter gives you an indicator of incoming audio.

I can't produce a crash copying a sequence, and have never had it crash when doing so. I have made hundreds of beats on the REN and it has never happened to me.

I'm wondering if this was a isolated incident or has this happened to more then one person?
