If the 1000 is like a 2500 with jj does that mean the 2500 w/ jj like a 4000/5000, or is it it's own thing?

oh NOW i get it
where did you hear this nonsense?
the 1k/2500 are basically the exact same machine with different physical characteristics - software is almost identical. same for jj - it is basically the same on both machines.
jj is not like a 4000 - it is it's own thing.

Two MPC 4000's would be equal to a Roland MV8000 then right?
Two MPC 2500's midi'd together would equal an MPC 5000!
Two MPC 60's midi'd together ain't shit though right?
This numbers game is fun!

I forget where i read it but they were like cause 1000 with jj got chop shop and other shit the akai os didn't have so its the same os pretty much as a 2500. So I was thinking what about the extra features you get for jj on the 2500 and I didn't feel like looking it up.

Don't remember where I read it but they were like cause of chop shop and the other shit you don't have with akai os on the 1000 that it was pretty much the same thing as the 2500 if you had jj. So I was thinking how much more do you get for jj with a 2500 and I didn't feel like looking it up.

from what i can see, a 1000 with jjos is WAY more powerful than a 2500 with akai os.
seriously i got mad props for jj - its one of the most intuitive and innovative hardware os ive ever used.
the main difference between the 1k and 2.5k is hardware - not the os, jj or akai.
