 The only reason why I am touching software now is because of the Ren. I need to be able to fully utilize my MIDI gear directly from the Ren. So program changes and bank selects from the hardware is essential to me. Taking it to the next level my incorporating patch scripts of hardware so that the Ren and the software can display patch names, I'll run down the street naked.

This...as well as these are among my favorites:

1. Sampling using Insert FXs. While sampling, I want to insert a chain of effects/dynamic processors into the signal path of incoming audio....EQs, filters, compressors, limiters, real-time pitch shifting, pitch correctors, denoisers, de-clickers, etc. My Korg Kronos offers the greatest flexibility but it’s not implemented seamlessly. All I want is an Insert FX button in the sample record field allowing me to insert 4 to 8 effects while recording.

2. Slicing. I would like manual slicing using the controller like Roland MV/Fantom. The data wheel moves the location of the cursor and F keys insert or deletes slice markers. Every time I slice marker is added, the newly created slice is assigned to a pad.

ALL OF THIS

Dan did say the manual slicing was coming for certain, i think.

This is like elastic audio. I can do this in pro tools. pull up the workspace browser window select audio, audition in time of session bpm. that would be cool.

specifically with Recycle files, this works in the Ren.

It would be really dope if you could use plugins on samples from the sample edit screen, similar to using audiosuite plugins in pro tools directly on the waveform or how one would do that in Sound Forge.

Example.. sampling something, noticing there's too much record crackle in the sample, and being able to use X-Crackle directly on the waveform in the sample editor.

Workaround: Put crackly sample on a pad, use X-Crackle as an insert (you'll get latency, it needs buffer to process the sound), and resample the sample in Sample Rec.

The workaround is cool, I just thought it'd be fresh if we can edit a sample directly with plugins similar to Sound Forge or Pro Tools.

Hide the .xpj file name when saving. It would be faster if we did not have to carefully change the "untitled" while maintaing the .xpj.

1.  Auto preview should be standard for searching through your library and instead of the auto preview button it should be a little transport with the file length like how a quicktime file looks so you can scroll through the preview and hear the whole file without holding it on the mouse or machine. Clicking on a sound in your library should instantly trigger the whole sample. (monophonic preview so switching from one to another doesn't overlap)

((like how FL STUDIO does it)) you guys need to take notes from their Ui... Not necessarily the look but the workflow

Also each beat per bar should be tinted slightly to indicate where to paste IF YOU ARE DOING IT WITH THE MOUSE.

2. -fix the App from crashing alot..

3. -fix the Lost communication w hardware issue

4. -Needs to play old mpc 2000xl programs and all sequence files

5. -Export from song mode

Seems like u must convert to a new sequence then export audio but you lose all plugin instruments
(not notes just specific instances)

** please tell me how to or please implement a way to export the WHOLE SONG/ALL BARS in song mode **

6. -needs RTAS support
I have a ton of RTAS instruments id like to use.. Yours are good too but VST/AU only? C'mon lol

(i can't find mpc under my rtas plugins either)

7. -also needs non destructive chopping
So u can have the option which way to chop.

8. -lastly non destructive/real time TIME STRETCHING like ELASTIC AUDIO in pro tools
(I think JAH asked for that one.. I agree on that)

I'm using a Mac Pro 8 core
10.6.8

I'm pretty sure you can non-destructive chop. Unselect "Link Slices"

Exporting As audio mixdown in song mode works perfect.
You do NOT need to convert it to a sequence.

There are also 2 ways to do Non Destructive chop.
"Link Slices" off or by unchecking "Crop" when you excite a slice.

During audio export to separate tracks, the track being named what they are named in the Track Mixer would be great.

Often imitated but never what?

Taken time away from your other duties I see. I have the same sig in the other forum(s) that you have seen numerous times over the past 8 months.

What features requests do you have Mr. Righteous?

Was not about your sig but a little joke about Akais failed attempt to duplicate Maschines duplicate feature. Would like to see them try again because this is a hot feature for chopping if done right. Maschines duplicate is also great for patterns and sequences. Same with the pattern double, much faster.

Would also like a split tracks feature like on the MV. So you can break out a sequenced kit to separate tracks. Something that quickly lets you do all or just one pad to new separate tracks without using copy.

That implemented as spec'd. A function to copy pad settings. Some forum members wanted something implemented like Maschine but didn't get their message across..

Personally, I have only seen Maschine users use it as a way to chop samples. The Ren already has this by turning off "Crop." The Ren auto slices by transients as soon as you enter Chop Mode. Press convert and turn off crop...and now you have slices mapped across the pads in a program. Then you can manually tweak each slice as they were not destructively edited. This has to be among my favorite Ren features.

Jah is correct. I stressed missing the sample copy functions of Maschine when I first got Ren. After a few days of working with Ren's chopping and getting comfortable with the MPC workflow again--I no longer miss Maschine. In fact, I don't know how I got along without my MPC! It's like coming home!

True...

But that's for the start and end points before you convert it to a program... ( thats what makes it destructive... once made a program I can't change my start points or end points as far as I know )

Once it's converted I'd need to create another program to have it sliced diff and play it the way i want to hear it...

It's complicated to articulate I'd have to show what I'm sayin..

[just read Jahs post about this, imma try that cropping thing he's talking about]

Also I'd like the option to see the waveforms on the grid too.. So I can cut visually on the grid, extend elastic audio style when I'm doing in depth editing and drawing automation.

Ok in song mode I go to stereo export to make it an mp3 and only one of my sequences is highlighted and will only let me export the 4 bars of that sequence.. Not all 88 bars of the song... What am I doing wrong?
