5. -Export from song mode

Seems like u must convert to a new sequence then export audio but you lose all plugin instruments
(not notes just specific instances)

Exporting As audio mixdown in song mode works perfect.
You do NOT need to convert it to a sequence.

There are also 2 ways to do Non Destructive chop.
"Link Slices" off or by unchecking "Crop" when you excite a slice.

Ok in song mode I go to stereo export to make it an mp3 and only one of my sequences is highlighted and will only let me export the 4 bars of that sequence.. Not all 88 bars of the song... What am I doing wrong?

I didn't read the entire conversation so forgive me......

But did you set the "Audio Length Start and End Bars" in the Export menu?

Yea its all G, but That's what I'm sayin.. It will only allow me to change the endpoint to the max of a single sequence (whichever is highlighted).. It won't allow me to highlight all or unhighlight a sequence so I can export the whole song.. I'm tryin to figure out if this is a bug or I'm doing something wrong.

1. how about detachable sequencer and sample edit screen or multi screen support.

2. sample zooming! how bout using the data wheel plus the + or - key to zoom in or out of the sample?(or shift key,lol )it would work like this.while holding down the - key turning the data wheel would zoom in while pressing the + key and turning the data wheel the sample would zoom out or vice versa, lol what u think? maybe the shift option is best for this.

3.muliticore 64bit!

4.auto preview auto on option.( a check option in the preference menu)

5.scrolling cursor while sample plays

6.since we have a vintage mode for sound characteristics how about we open that unto sequencer characteristics also.in terms of the swing and groove of the associated machine.( a check option in the preference menu)

7.a option to use double tapping a button to access a feature as oppose to using the shift key.i.e.double pushing bank A would grant u access to bank E and so on.double pressing the sample button would give u access to the sampling screen.....just expanding on work flow options.(just asking for the option dan,lol it doesnt have to change how guys used to using the shift button work.) it could be a check option in the perference menu.

8. realtime swing.(should be able to hear change to swing in realtime like the mpc 4000)

9.use the +and - buttons to shift notes in real time from hardware.(press pad on corresponding sequence track to adjust notes )

10.and finally this software crashes freqenently so how about some kind of fail safe to auto save your work like many daws do today.or a recovery option when the session is reopened after the crash.

I have an 8 port Motu MIDI interface and the Ren can see them all, however only 4 ports can be assigned to choose from in preferences. I would like to be able to choose any MIDI port that is connected to my DAW.

One shot mode during choppin and audition.Would like to play my samples out instead of having to hold down the pad the whole time.Makes it easier to get chops smoother and less wear on your fingers.

It would be nice to have the vintage emulation chosen to be stored on the sample or track rather then have to resample every sample you want to sound like the mpc60. Having to resample for this situation hinders the work flow and would consume lots of space on your hard drive over time.

1 the ability to rearrange tracks using your mouse.ie dragging your kick on track 1 closer to your sub kick on track 10 so they are grouped together so to speak .

2 the ability to freeze vst tracks to free up memory and resources.

3. it would be cool if we could scroll thru vst sound presets from the hardware.

U sould be able to preview sounds hitting a pad insteed of a F button. and be able to change the volume of the previewed sound with the q links.

Invert the LCD

Realtime timestrech

U sould be able to change the color of the tracks, not just red, in the Track mixer for better overview.

hi guys...
so going off the current os and people who have the ren...
this is what seems is needed/wanted in the ren in the near future i will start by...

no lfo delay/ramp -lfo compatibility translation from legacy mpc's
no 64 bit
no saving /loading of presets
no pad duplicate (ie maschine ,mv series clipboard)
no loading of samples/kits whils sequencer playing
no zoom in waveform
no scrolling sample marker on wave form
no pad to sample edit (like the mv series)
double tapping shortcuts (as opposed to +shift)
auto save!!
One shot mode during choppin and audition
audio tracks
mixer track re-arranging/colour coding
preview sounds with a pad (instead of F)
larger waveform view on LCD
realtime pitchshift/timestretch
stored vintage mode information (instead of having to resample)
add manual slices/slice points
MIDI MSB/LSB bank changes
Sampling using Insert FXs
realtime tempo audition (like live/cubase/elastic audio -pro tools etc)

im sure im missing a few more but this is what is coming across from me reading the manual

and quite a few of the feature request!!
looking forward to getting the ren in the uk and 1.1!!!

PLEASE PLEASE implement a phase flip for each of the pad layers. When layering drum samples it's an important feature I feel is missing. It's crucial for making sure each sample layer works together.

Even better they can add a between phase pot which let's you tune the phase rather than a straight 180deg flip, little labs IBP style.

This pot can fit next to the pan pot of each pad layer if you move the velocity to the right.

In fact add a phase button to the mixer too.

Now I'm thinking this might be a bug. The Ren Manual states on page 43

"In the MPC software, click on the MIDI PORT pop-up menu and select
the desired MIDI port, where the sequence data should be send to.
The pop-up list shows you every MIDI port available on your computer
system."

It actually only shows the 4 MIDI ports that were assigned in Preferences.
