and awesome! some of us still heavily use the mpc60 and the s900 (myself especially along with the x7000) it's a lot of fun.
Does that prototype 60 have the same motherboard/OS/expansion capabilities as the mpc60? for example, was it the same motherboard design as what we finally got?

Top row, from the band are Ricky Lawson (drums), Greg Phillinganes (keys), Rory Kaplan (keys). I'm seated. Greg is doing the devil sign. They did Akai clinics in nearly every city where they played on that tour (including a lot in the UK).
