Im getting a few problems with my setup atm. I have a tc electronics audio interface with 4 plugs (2 in and 2 out). I have my audio interface hooked up with my krk monitors from the audio out to the input on the monitors and my mixer's "monitor out" goes directly into my audio interface. My problem is that i want to sample from my pc via the mixer and into my sampler.

I made a picture in paint to illustrate what i mean. Great drawing skills. I know

Got an idea that could sort this out? Thanx!!!

Try the KRK's out the mixer's main outputs. Have the interface's outputs go into the mixer and have a set of outs from the mixer go to the interface. Use the mixer as basically a patch bay of extra inputs for the interface.

Only thing with a setup like this is you really have to watch for feedback loops if you forget to mute a channel when recording. And keeping track of that can get slightly confusing at times if you factor in the physical mixer, the mixer control panel of the interface and probably a DAW mixer. But hey, just fire up paint again and draw it up :-D

If there's an aux out on your mixer, use that to send a signal to your sampler.

I have to advise against these seemingly "no hassle" setups. It's common for people starting out to want a setup like this which requires no unplugging/plugging of wires so your not thinking about what's going where or why you aren't getting sound. But it's usually just as complex and like Metatron said you are dangerously close to creating a feedback loop which could damage your equipment.

My advice, plug in what you need into to the mixer which will give your monitor (MPC, sampler etc...). But I will never ever sample through a device that also contains that devices output. I mean your doing it to make your life easier right? Nothing could be more stressful than making music while thinking "one wrong move and I'm shredding my workstation" using the aux sends you would litterally be that close.
