Honestly, at the rate that I see development going for the Ren, I don't see the need for what I do, to keep the 4000.....just not into collecting MPCs or any equipment for that matter that I'm not using.........

Though I'm buying a Ren for sure. I'm not selling my mpc 4000. I still like the program matrix, two programs per track, and the excellent multi allows for the layering of several programs. But anyway the Ren gives me more integration with software and my daw. For standalone or live projects I will work on the 4k to many years with it.

I just feel like people are gonne regret selling off their stand alone machines.

Even though I plan on getting a studio, I still want a stand alone option, with no computer involved in the beat making process.

I actually do not notice more than normal. If you have watched MPC's over the yrs there are peaks and valleys on the bay every year. Every time a new beat making prodcut comes out, people try to attribute it to that, but historically it has proven to be unrelated.

This seems like normal flux at the moement. Expect a bump around December. A much bigger bump. Happens every year.
