O.S update

First of all I got an mpc 1000 n I just got it. I wanna what's an O.S update n do I need it. I seen it on da akai website n they got a lot of version n if I do need it which one or all?

err your spelling was kind of hard on the eyes.... anyway I guess the latest OS would be the one to get?

I meant I wanna what it is and what does it do for mpc 1000?
