The most high spec system customized for DAW would still be limited with Akai's current VSTi implementation. Sounds more like some are trying to sweep this under the rug imo. As far as the ones saying it crashes with no plug-in instruments loaded, I wonder if it has something to do with using the built in interface (poor drivers?) Of course some crashes can always be system specific but does not sound like the case here.

Every issue reported in this forum I've attempted to reproduce on my own with various results. I posted my findings as well. The results include bugs, user errors, and expecting the Ren to do something that it isn't capable of doing.

In the upcoming software update, you will see bug fixes, increased stability, and improved performance with VSTs. But it is still a 32 bit application.

Hi Jah, is 64 bit in the pipeline? Distant or near?

Good to hear an update is coming. I guess it's safe to say 1.0 has serious issues but we will have to wait and see what the real deal is when 1.1 drops. I hope in the next update that Akai put some priority in making plug-in instruments behave like the programs so you can copy sequences without worrying about increasing CPU and RAM load. Maybe an even a dedicated instrument rack and mixer.
