a way to switch from your analog inputs to your digital inputs via the hardware.

Right now, you can switch between mic or phono/line on the hardware, but have to actually go into the software preference and choose inputs 3+4 to access your digital ins.

Erase midi/keyboard notes while in overdub mode and holding erase. Also hit erase button and hit keys on midi controller to erase notes. Currently it only works when using the pads. I use this feature on my other MPCs & it should be added to the Ren.

Thanks!

motif style of dividing drums. on the motif (in pattern mode), you can work on track one and lay down your drum pattern, when you're finished, you can press JOB > F5 to automatically separate your kick, snare, clap, hat, etc.onto separate tracks.

It would be good if the REN can do this with a "shift" function. i know sometimes when i'm finger drumming all on one track on the 1k and 2.5 i have to either manually move each sound to its own track or assign each pad to a different assignable out.

Maybe I'm missing a step and if so please let me know, Theses are my feature request for now.

Track, Seq, Program Naming-

Frm Hardware: Hover cursor over Track,Program or Seq selection, Press window button,
(Insert Rename Option) Use Jog wheel to select letters and - & + Button
to Backspace or Advance.

Frm Cpu : In Mixer mode, Double click White tab to NAME the track.

Folder Organization & Memory-

When creating a new program the software keeps making a new
subfolder of the same folder when adding a new program.

Everytime I start the software I have to direct it to the folder where
my projects are. Use the last folder I was in.

Auto Screen Toggle -

When I edit a Q-link from Software it doesn't pop up on the hardware
screen. I would like for them to correspond like that.

Realtime audition Changing

While sample is playing ( without dragging ) I would like to change
the sample directly from the hardware.

And save the parameters of the plugin settings.

Doesn't JJOS have this? I hope they add this!

I don't know if this has been requested but it would be nice if there was a sample purge to remove unused samples and programs. I just finished a project and recorded many samples I didn't end up using. 80 mb worth of manually selecting each sample and deleting is tedious.

don't know. never used any of the JJ OSs. but it would be good if the REN had it.

Once again, we NEED a purge feature to get rid of those unused files. Also a lot of files get overwritten instead of copies being made, for ex: in the sample editor and then if I time stretch the wrong amount I cant go back and I'm stuck with a new file I don't want

Also can WE PLEASE get programs to default on Master - Poly, Pad Play - Poly, and Mute Group - Off

Everytime I create a program it defaults as mute group 1 being activated and everything is in mono mode, that been annoying me lately, especially when I'm creating a bunch of programs and have to switch every one to poly, poly, mute group off, poly, poly, mute group off, poly, poly, mute group off, etc etc

When layering 4 samples on a pad can we see the file name displayed on the hardware lcd, so i dont have to keep looking up at the screen for that? Instead of just having 4 that say sample, sample, sample, sample

Also, for simple functions that have an on/off toggle, I dont like having to twist the Qlink knob a full 180 degrees to switch from A to B, one notch is good, It's just going to wear out the qlinks

Please implement an easier way to access banks E F G and H, the shift button is all the way to right so I have to move both hands far from what I'm doing just to make a quick bank switch, for ex: hold down Bank A button for 2 full seconds and let go and it will be BANK E, i dunno just something like that

Also, I have to press shift, hold it then press note repeat to hold the note repeat, can we make it vice cersa also where we can press the note repeat, hold it down, and press shift, to keep note repeat fixed?

If I stop the sequencer in-between bars 4.1.1 and 5.0.0 do some editing then press play it acts like I pressed play start, or if I press the back arrow it goes back to bar one instead of the beginning of bar 4, as if I am pressing play start but I'm not

Also, when scrolling through samples, and scrolling my chop/trim points the hardware lcd lags too much behind the software display, can we speed up the response of the lcd on the hardware?

Don't know if they have this but a way to view all active sounds regardless of what track they are from on one screen. This will let you see where everything lines up in relation to each other. As if it's all on one track.

Bitwig has something similar

"Layered editing is another big selling point, enabling multiple tracks to be edited in one place. In the Arrange view, with a MIDI track selected, hitting the Layered Editing button reveals all of the MIDI parts in the song in the Edit view, with all of the audio parts layered X-ray-style in the background. With an audio track selected, the Edit view becomes a multitrack audio editor, with every audio track in the song stacked up vertically (but sans MIDI parts in the background)."

a way to load a sound and assign it directly to a pad from the browser screen on the hardware.
