I'm back....

So I have some beats in my mpc 2500. Now I want to record them onto my laptop so I can make an mp3 out of it. I have a no frills setup which is just an MPC 2500 connected to Studio Monitors. I have no audio interface, mixer etc...

I want to record and make an mp3 from the beats I have made in my MPC. Do you recommend getting a mixer or audio interface? My budget is no more than $250. Which audio interface or mixer would be best to get if I have to?

Thanks.

If you're working on a windows system, use the windows media feature to record and save it as a mp3 file.

Radioshack sells everything you need to make the connection from your mpc to the 1/8" input on your audio card.

1. 1/8" to rca male (L/R) cable

2. two rca female to 1/4" male adapters

you could also go into song mode and mix your sequences down to a song then save that as a sample and export it via usb.

i wouldent record the stereo outs unless you had a sound card.

i really like my tc electronics impact twin. i think i paid 299 for it, a litlte over you budget, but if your only going to be recording a max of 6 inputs, i would save the extra 50 bucks and get it.

i would say it has really nice preamps for a twin mic pre box, i would even record vocals with it if i didnt have my external mic pre, and im a mic pre snob.

it also has a really nice reverb, and also some other effects.

it uses firewire 400.
