he probably uses the "hip bass 3" preset patch in the hip hop folder. I use it as bass in all my beats.

Yea that "hip hop bass 3" sound is nice.... I still use that for my bass sounds alot...

It's not soo much what 9th uses, it's how he uses it... It's all the filtering and sound sculpting he does that makes it his... He could be usin a 100 dollar Casio piece of sh*t, but he'd still have his system of processing the sound and it would still work...

Plus mastering and other factors play into hsi overall sound as well...

lol...tone bass?

Easy as hell. Remove the ground wire from the back of your mixer so the turntable causes MAD feedback. Sample the feedback into the MPC. Drop the filter to 0 and boost the resn.

It's an old trick but works wonders..... You'll get that 9th/dilla/hi tek tone bass
