Can I assign a sound in a PGM to an individual output just how the 4000 does it?

Oh no, my bad no you can't. It doesn't have a multi, so it is based on the pad on the track.

Implementation of forum feature requests and improvements to existing ones.

Are there any other new features that would be important for MPC Ren users to have? (bug fixes and improved stability are already a given)

I'm with Bobby here, it's all about giving the user options. A robust export page and explode midi feature will keep the majority of people happy.

If there's a way to turn a 2 minute process into a 2 click process why wouldn't you want it?

If you like the old way there's nothing stopping you doing that too..

Go back and re-read. I don't think anyone was disagreeing about having additional options.

It's his response when told this may not be likely in the first update. He basically exploded and started dissing the reason why people even use MPCs.

I have the JJ OS on my 2500. How do you mean exactly? If it does something better let me know. I will certainly add it to the feature request list.

what some people have to realize is the term "workflow" is relative. I can be in front of 25 different producers and witness 25 different "workflows" what akai meant when said the ren has the same mpc "workflow" is the most common way people would work on the mpc. as i've mentioned several times, the REN is NOT maschine. The workflow that one would have with maschine will have to obviously change when using the ren. if you want the same exact workflow as maschine, stay with maschine.

now i have to agree (somewhat) with bobby. i used this feature with the motif. programming my drum pattern all on one track then pressing commands to automaticall divide that one track into separate tracks. i am also used to the mpc way of doing it, where i would have kick on trk 1, snr on trk 2, hat on trk 3, etc. when i'm on the motif, i have one "workflow" when i'm using reason, i have another "workflow" and when i'm using the mpc, i have yet another "workflow". i just have to adapt to the machine/software that i'm using at that moment.

Increased sample limit per pad. Right now it's 4 I believe. Having the ability to stack more sounds on one pad would be useful.

just use the Simult function. with that you can stack up to 16 sounds and trigger them by hitting one pad.

There are two methods to accomplish that:
1. Simult pads. You can have up to 20 sounds trigger from striking 1 pad
2. Keygroup programs. You can create a 16 pad program with 32 sounds stacked on each pad. or 512 samples stacked on 1 pad

Edit - Sparq just wrote same thing with fuzzy math :P
