Mpc 2000 xl vs 2500- some questions

The only thing I really consider here is to transfer my beat to computer for the final mixing and effects making. I know xl can have the extra cards and so on and 2500 an usb. But I just want to seperate my sounds into channels but I got it right reading its a pain in the ass from the xl. I need 8 output upgrade for only 8 channels going. Otherwise I have to hook it up and record with only mono and stereo channel. So shit will take time If I got lets say 25 differnt sounds I wanna lay out and automate and do cool stuff with on my pc. And 2500 does this go very easy ? anyway how is the pads and feel of the 2500? never tried the padds of it

yes you have to track out 8 at a time with the xl and only if you have the 8 out card.

if you prefer drag and drop style, then definitely go with a 2500. it will still take time to bounce each track down separately, but then you can just drag and drop all you want.

they're fine - its of course a personal opinion but the thing to keep in mind is they are not a disaster like the 1k first pads were. the 2.5k pads are fine - upgrade from mpcstuff if you want.

2500 has the outs already, XL needs the upgrade, but with it you can certainly track up to 10 mono sounds assuming you have an interface on your computer that can accept that many audio inputs.

Pads on the 2500 are fine.

A 2500 it is. Another question can u run reason and a midikeyboard and record sounds from my software into mpc. Don't got a hardware synth

Just a quick thing to note, Reason won't send MIDI out. Any other software on earth will. Probably not a big deal as you'd be way more likely to want to do your MIDI on the MPC, but there may be occasions where you want the computer to trigger the MPC. There are free and cheap programs to do that.

Also if you're on Reason 6.5 you can record the output of your MPC as audio into Reason tracks which is nice to have after years of no audio in Reason's sequencer.

Reason and an MPC are a hell of a combo. Add Ableton Live and there isn't anything you can't do.

thats why i dont care about this ren hype, mpc/computer integration nonsense. i already do this with my 2500.. i use reaper and run a ton of vsti's no problem with jjos..

Yeah man, run the daw slaved to the almost certainly tighter MIDI clock in the MPC and life is good.
