ok ....heres my new topic...

Does anyone know why my samples will randomly sound like i sampled a **** jet engine?...it never happened untill i installed my memory... could i have knocked something loose?.... i was being careful when i took the damn thing apart...but for some reason, i will load up a track that i did, and the samples that i took myself (from a turntable) will sound like complete garbage....but if i turn it off and then back on and load up the track again...it will work fine?......any ideas?

Ohh and another question.....how come my slider quit working?...... any suggestions on how to fix that?...... i'm bout ready to throw the thing away...so someone please save me from losing my money.... i havent even gotten famous yet :(

Thanks
Ainz

It could be that your new RAM isn't fitted properly, or that it isn't the proper RAM for an MPC.

There are lots of recent threads on slider problems ..... not something I've ever had trouble with myself.

My first post...but yeah, I just recently started having the same problem. My original ram has worked perfect for more than two years.Suddenly, out of the blue, certain sounds load up and BOOM, i get the jet engine. I'll reload the program or turn the mpc off and then power back up. Eventually it starts to work. I even replaced the ram with some correct shit from guitar center this weekend and I'm still having this problem. I'm starting to suspect the motherboard? Possible slow death for the mpc. If i have to shell out for a new unit it's gonna be a major set back. Hope this can be fixed...anyone else?

1. Did you check all your cable connections after you installed your memory, cuz if sampling analog turntable in , you can get can feedback of unusual noise comming out of your speaker and not your MPC.....So check your mixer connection to turntable to MPc ,ect.. make sure there not cross up or overlapping with other cables...... hope that works peace!!!! 2.I dont know about the NV slider ,never had that problem???

thanks for the help everyone...... I only wish i would have came to this forum a long time ago..... i never can get answers about my MPC because 1) i dont know anyone else who ownes one and 2) most the people i ask are guitar center employees who are just trying to sell me something...... so i gotta extend my appreciation out to everyone on this site.....

I'm bout to fix my slider this weekend ...

Thanks Again
