MPC Renaissance & MPC Software OS 1.0 Bug Reports

1. Trillian as well as other Spectrasonics plugins are confirmed to not work properly in the Ren. The issues were previously reported in the forum and a report sent to Akai. You will see improved plugin performance in the upcoming software update.

2. The Ren obvisously doesn't perform the same way as Live...just as Live doesn't perform the same way a Logic, Pro Tools,, etc.

There is a dedicated button 'Pad Assign' I forgot to mention. Pressing this button will allow you to quickly change a sample on a pad or remove the same altogether.

3. Vintage Mode emulates MPC 60/3000 and SP 1200. There are no presets. You simply turn it on/off. It is off by default and doesn't save with your project. Perhaps make a feature request for it to be remembered.

4. I haven't experienced any issues with the browser crashing. Can you send me a crash report? I'll send you my email via PM

5. Did you try the settings I gave you?

Try these steps exactly starting with the Ren and software off/close:
1. Turn REC GAIN and MAIN VOLUME knobs to MIN
2. Turn the DIRECT MON knob far left to INPUT
3. Set the switch in the rear and on top of the Ren to PHONO
4. Connect turntables to the Ren's rear RCA jacks; ground the turntable to the Ren
5. Turn Phantom power Off
6. Disconnect any device inserted in the XLR & 1/4"n combo inputs
7. Disconnect any device inserted into two S/PDIF and two USB hub ports
8. Set headphone mix far left to 1/2; turn headphone volume knob to far left
9. Turn on MPC Ren hardware and launch software
10. Go to MPC Ren Preferences in software
11. Select MPC Renaissance as the OUTPUT and INPUT device
13. Set ACTIVE INPUT CHANNELS to Input 1+2
14. In Sample Rec Mode, set Input to EXTERNAL; set Monitor to ON
15. Start play from your turntable
16. Slowly increase the REC GAIN until it's meter registers -3dB
17. Slowly increase the MAIN VOLUME

Please let me know the results.

Go to the folder the session is in. Is there an .xpm there for your synth plugin? if there is, try removing/deleting it manually from the there, and try to open the session or sequence again.

actually it won't let me copy to a new sequence now without crashing.
