[REQ] "Cut" Button While Recording

Wouldn't it be dope if while you were recording on the 1000, there was a "break" or "cut" button that once pushed would instantly start recording to a new sample. This would make chopping easier for the heads who have the turntable situated all the way across the room. . Maybe its just me, I dono.

How do you proceed usually and which OS are you using?
For me the latest JJ OS with audiotracks or the looper with a footswitch is fine for recording scratches.
