come on man, just by making this thread your being biased for maschine, everyone knows you like the maschine more, but honestly your not changing anyones mind about either product. anyone that is well read in what they want out of their sampler knows both of them do essentially the same thing anyway, its just down to nitpicky things that work well with or against your workflow.

you dont have to start a thread just to bash the ren in maschines favor, anyone thats looking for one or the other is going to read up on them and get one or the other, your not swaying anyones opinion, just being annoying.

let the maschine be the maschine and let the ren be the ren.

also its an unfair comparison in the first place because the maschine has had steady updates for along time now and the ren has just been released.

go make some music with your maschine and stop parading it over everyone elses gear.

or if you really feel the need to tell everyone how great it is, at least make it for the sake of being helpful and answering someones questions/concerns, not for the sake of being argumentative.

Akai has had all that time since they announced the Ren (and the software already existed long before that and was already being beta-tested), not to mention plenty of time during Maschine's 3 years existence, to take notes and develop something that offers actual competition instead of a seriously buggy dongle with head scratching limitations by design.

And regardless of the MPC fanboys getting all defensive, many people have already expressed appreciation for this list, saying that it helped them realize that the Ren is not for them.

It's true. You do realize this isn't the only place that list has been shared, right?

But even on here:

NI was judged against hardware MPCs at launch based on what the product was when they asked for the customer's money- and with no sympathy . Akai isn't giving early adopters any kind of purchase discount so customers have no obligation to cut them any slack.

Companies get judged on what they're actually selling not what they may be developing.

Anyway, keep on being in denial, mcroepster.

I have read that you were also on other forums "discussing"
this subject.

He's spouting the same nonsense on the NI forum under the name Noiserot and on GearSlutz under the name cricketz.

I do not not know if this is true
because I don't visit these forums.
But if so, I am not surprised this isn't the only place that list has been shared.

And with all due respect, please base your honest "unbiased" opinion about the mpc
from your own experience with it
and not from forum ( sometimes 1 st time mpc user) members.

Just use your tool to the fullest and don't waste your time
praising his mighty power over other maschines.

Damn.

For some of you,
Your tool of choice
is your religion.

You love to discuss topics you have no knowledge about and pass off lies as facts. The Ren software did not 'exist' long before being displayed at Namm. Several forum members can attest to this.

The Ren software was not being beta-tested....it was being alpha-tested at the time. Google these testing phases so you are properly educated. The hardware was only a prototype....Namm actually had at least two versions of the Ren on display.

NI had 20 years of MPC examples to devlop something worthy of competition. V1.0 of Maschine software was a joke and couldn't do things an MPC 2000 created in the 90s could achieve. Maschine 1.8 finally added some features MPCs could accomplish decades ago. And after 3 years of development...it still has bugs to include the annoying sample editing bug. So for anyone to say the Ren is decades behind Maschine with a straight face should be run out of these forums.

The Ren is the most sought after product out right now. Most Machine users don't even want the MKII controller..and NI doesn't even care about its loyal customers enough to offer an upgrade path or discount. When the MPC Studio is released, chances are NI will take a huge hit and quickly drop the price of Maschine. You heard it here first.

A lot of Maschine users were previously MPC users. And a lot of them have returned/returning to MPCs since the release of the Ren...and upcoming Studio.

It's natural for people to want to compare things however whichever way they want/can. I know that already.

I'm all for a good discussion, good or bad, but when such it delves into "me over you, you suck donkey balls, yo mama, flowers and silly troll shit", it needs to end. Some of you **** (no offense to a playa but yo I don't play and if you take offense **** it, it's got ta be that way) don't have shit else to do. **** off the internet, go outside and play.
