cleaning fluid for face / armrest of 3000?

i feel like this should have been in the search somewhere but couldn't find it, so...
what do you use to clean the face and armrest of the mpc3000? (classic not LE) I'm looking to just wipe it down carefully with something that evaporates without opening it up i suppose - it ain't that dirty. Maybe isopropyl alchohol? don't wanna go burning the paint by testing stuff.. thanks in advance...gonna use the same on my akai dps16 too unless someone says otherwise

I used to detail cars, and found that it worked best on not only cleaning plastics, but restoring a factory finish without it being greasy....a very matte, clean look. Has worked great on my screens, paint, etc...and grabs the grime out of those arm rests.

I've used some of that for cleaning MPC's pad sensors - its really cheap so wouldn't be a bad call to try that on armrest.

Thanks seed, i'm a bit worried about that being a bit too abrasive, so gonna try this cockpit stuff when it arrives..

Hope you like it man! For really dirty spots it will take a little elbow grease, but it should get all dirt and what not out no problem. Also....be sure to try it on the dash/plastic stuff of your car when you're done cleaning the MPC! It will blow your mind how nice it makes it look!

Has anyone here tried using mr clean magic eraser? I wonder if that would do any damage? Edit: for the armrest only

It would do no damage at all. Mr. Clean magic eraser isn't chemically based, it's sponge is just made of a certain compound that is really really good at removing marks, etc. In other words: the sponge would disintegrate before you did any harm to your MPC. Go for it.

Because it's still an abrasive, that's how it works. Would do no damage to a plastic arm rest. I've removed a lot of scuffs on my wall with them....never had paint come off. I could see that happening with paint though....gotta be careful with them when dealing on surfaces that are easy to damage I suppose. Good point.
