Question roland fantom s or motif es6 ?

I got the roland but thinking of getting the motif es6.

Are you saying you have the roland fantom s and your gona keep and get the motif es? Well why do you want the motif es. I have one but thats my main bytch and after that keyboard im really not looking at anything else out there. i have the nordlead just to spice up my synth lead sounds. I would keep the fantom and get a whole different type of keyboard. To me my motif es is just my complete band in a box. Do the lead singer trade his band for another or use more than one. All im saying is good music should be able to be made on that fantom and if your production is paying for itself i would get the motif es but if your a hardworking 9to5 guy i would stick it out and rock the fantom s and get a diferent type of keyboard. A romper is a romper. A analog keyboard is where the magic is at man!

My choice between the two was the Fantom-S. The reason: I don't use presets that much and it easier to modify sounds on the Fantom-S than the Motif ES. Easier for me still, maybe you find the Motif easier. Having the two together is redundant. Different sounds, but both are workstations.

If I wanted the Motif sounds, I would get the Motif Rack.

ive got the triton. Ive contemplated trading up for the "fesh sounds," But in the end, its pointless. Youll end up getting a new board, loosing money if you have to resell it....and kick yourself in the ass because youll miss features of your old board.....and in the end, the sounds are the same-youll always want the other one.

MAKE the one you got, the one everybody else wants-edit that shit, twist it, flip it, and make some hot sounds that everybody will be jealous of.

go with which one you enjoy the most. New sounds are gonna come out, but it doesnt matter, all the sounds on any of them are good enough to last.

Like youngkeyz said, the VA synth is where its at if you want something differant.

There is so much potential in every synth, its rediculous, plus combined with an mpc.

I think wanting another board (unless you absolutely not happy with it) is just short term fix for a creative block. Enjoy what you have, have confidence in yourself....you can learn to make anything sound good and work.

Dont spend more money than you have to We are all guilty of gear lust. Unless the board just absolutely doesnt fit you, or you feel limited by it, then i would trade....sometimes you gotta try the other one just so you know. But only you can tell yourself what you really want. Utalize return policy if you can.

I would take the motifes6 over the phantom x6, pretty much any day of the week. the phantom does have a much easier interface though. I just appreciate the sounds on the motif a bit more. But, I am giving up workstations, and going with an M-AUDIO keystation and nuttin but software synths!
