this song has some cool sounds in it and its a very common record, seen it for like a dollar in a bunch of places.

You'll be surprised how easy to get a couple funky melodies out of a Moog. Most times its a single handed effort and tweaking knobs with the other.

well not really strictley vinyl..
but 100% vinyl on most beats latley because it suits my workflow + I just enjoy working that way at the moment..
having said that..
If I have a dope sample on CD i'll use that too ..
Micing stuff is also an option.. sometimes i#ll use my beatbox.. not that i'm a good beatboxer.. I suck at it TBH.. but works for samples and layering as well..
i also sample feedback, noise, vinyl crackle (you can make ill sounding claps from vinyl crackle..)
sample whatever really... but yeah.. a lot of vinyl

Oh, and if i had a moog.. or a fender rhodes.... or even a bassguitar, a drum set or any instrument.. of course i'd play, record and sample that sh**

use anything! But most of all.. use ur imagination!
