Hey,
When i copy my recorded beat from MPC1k to PC sound is different than sound on MPC. Beat is banging hard and make a distortion on it. I don't know what is happen.
I was changing options in OTHERS :0db, -6db, -12db, all the time problem is the same.
What can i do?

Greet!

how did you record?
Do you use an audio interface? did you go straight into PCs line input? (how) do you monitor the signal?

need more information, otherwise can't help...

that's strange..
At what point does the distortion occure?
When you record main out, how does it sound when you play the resampled song back in the MPC?

I know it is very strange, becouse in the past i haven't this king of problems.
After Resamling beat is only banging on PC not on MPC. On MPC sounds Very Good.
I wondered of my headphones, becouse on PC it sounds more warmer than on MPC sound is. Velocity is low and bassline little drowns the sample (different than MPC) and another components, when i wanna tweak velocity of beat, it comes banging. But on MPC it is all right, it is that how i wanna be. Meaby somethings goes wrong on my PC? I don't know ...

I'd guess the problem has to be in th PC.
unless... after you resample into the MPC.. how do you get that data to your PC? via USB? or analog?
If USB, i say the problem is somwhere in the PCs output signalpath.
if Analog; chances are, you might be recording too hot/ clipping in the AD converter..

I'd guess too hot/clipped wavs too. What are the files showing on Audacity's meters?. Are you crossing the 0dB level and if so how in the yellow and red are they?

When i record recorded beat via analog with full MAIN AUDIO it is banging so hard, but when i record on half MAIN AUDIO level , beat is too quiet.
Meters in Audacity in first case cross the level , when i reduce MAIN AUDIO a little bit meters aren't cross 0db, they are between -6~0 db, but beat is still banging.

oh. well if that's the case, it's easy.
just find the right level.
leave some headroom, rather than overpowering it.
Turn it up in the DAW afterwards, or go to effects and use "normalize".
