I'll be releasing some drum sample packs on this site in a couple of days - all original, licence free hits and loops.

if you're making hiphop you should sample from vinyl. if you let other people dig for your sounds, you might as well start making dance music. coz that's what hiphop beats are about, digging for samples.

oh right......... i forgot music has a rule book!
come on cobra! open up your creativity a bit. Thats the beauty of the sampling/digital culture. Weve now got access to a universe of sounds. Dont matter where ya source em from; the point is being creative with em.
777, if youve got a passion for hip hop, or any genre, then it dont matter where ya beats/sounds are comin from. As long as you can put your own twist on em then your winning!
Art and rules dont mix!!
Good hunting!

agreed, as long as you use them in a new way. I mean, we don't want everything to sound the same way, right? downloading the impeach the president break and creting a beat with that isn't very creative. most breaks on the net are already being used by others, making it harder to sound original. but if you can make the sounds your own, no problem.
