For anyone bug reporting, it is VITAL that you include your system specs, and don't expect anyone to trawl through your previous posts to find that out. If you want bugs fixed, report them properly and it stands more of a chance of being taken seriously.

To report a bug the minimum info needed is:

MPC Software version
Operating system & version
Any other specs that may be relevant (e.g. audio interface and drivers used when dealing with audio issues, VST details and version etc)

Step by step reproduction, i.e.

1) 'File > New Project'
2) Load sample from browser by dragging to program
etc etc.

You may also be expected to provide error messages and screenshots, plus example files you were loading - bundle them into a zip and upload to mediafire or similar. The more details you give, the more likely a fix will be made.

But remember this is not official support for Akai, so don't start getting all shirty because one of the volunteers here is offering to report the bug on your behalf. This forum is not here to vent your anger at Akai over bugs. Ultimately you should report the bug directly to Akai through their official support system.

^^^^^Glad im not the only one with the same prob! Havent dealt with the other stuff your goin thru.

I am not seeing this. Can you post a video of this behavior?

the slice point markers do move pretty eratic, nowhere near as smooth as 1.0.
I don't know if thats a "bug" or not. If everyone is experiencing this, no need for a video. If not, I'll post one.

I have yet to figure this out....but I suspect its the limitations of the AU plugin format. I read about it somewhere perhaps at the NI forum. Any experts here?

VST and RTAS plugins seem perfectly fine routing audio and MIDI. I used Studio One that can host VST and AU. VST works flawless....AU not so much.

Doesn't take long to post a video which would be helpful...or not.

I personally see too much difference in sample editing comparing 1.0 to 1.1.

in your eyes, the difference you see... is it for better or worse?

Track Export as separate tracks does NOT export all the tracks. It's sort of random which ones are exported and which not. For instance, my kick and snare tracks were assigned to the same group and outputs but only the snare was exported...

My system specs are in my signature.

this is tricky, because sometimes, in the program mixer, if you add an insert, it reroutes that sound to a submix, which bypasses the track channel you played it on.

Beats that i made in 1.0 with native akai effects are now bypassed when i load them in 1.1.Everything is now Dry.Vaules are still there but no effect is present.

effects were used globally on my main sample track

HP shelving filter
LP shelving filter
Reverb large 2

workaround:Write down all vaules, select a different effect and put the original effect back on inputting all your original vaules.

Comp specs in my SIG.I hope this is a valid bug report! JAH???

Sorry for long post...
When I chop a sample to a program, then go to program edit, select ALL for zones, and then select a filter -- the pads stop playing correctly. The only way to get around this is to rechop the sample again into a new program, because the old program (once you try to assign a filter to ALL) is bugged. Anyone experience this?

1. Chop sample into program
2. Create sequence with ^ program
3. Prog Edit
4. Edit Zones -> select ALL
5. Select a filter (ie, high 8 ), adjust cutoff
6. Samples are no longer playing correctly.

-I can't seem to record automation data, even in the qlinks screen

-The time correct settings of my projects do not save, (swing, shift note, etc.. all get reset after loading previous projects)

-Adding multiple vsts still usually makes the hardware crash or unusable from the lag

-still cant get mpc inputs to pick up audio through the digital in

-Resample doesnt seem to work

-When turning a song into a sequence I lost the effects I had put on pads/tracks

-Slices dissappear sometimes when moving start/end markers with q links

-Playhead in sampler lags, and playing chops lags sometimes

-My pads turn colors by themselves sometimes

-Only the stock vsts/plug-ins that came with the Ren allow me to choose presets from hardware(doesnt work with any native instruments or ik multimedia plug ins)

kinda found a way around the bug, i deleted a .xpm file for trillian in my preferences, opened it back up and the sequence was there, so i loaded up the plugin again and it works, kind of a workaround, but it works now. my other song i had a problem with on a previous thread with a similar issue still does not work. i did make a beat with one i deleted the .xpm file from though as shown.
