Checking for EB16 in S3000xl

i wasnt sure where to ask this...does anyone know how to check for the effects board on a s3000xl? I just got hold of two and don't know how to use them.. I guess i could open it up and look for the board, but i don't know jack about that so wondering if there's a simpler way? thanks in advance...

Look through the effects pages/menus on the gear, eb16 is an effects card, if you have effects capability then it's in there.

Stop getting automatically offended when you see gold letters!

Press the FX button.

If no EB16 installed, there will be a message at the bottom of the screen.

Something like "EB16 FX card not installed".

I checked this in the store the other day on a used unit going for £30. It had the eight outputs which could be used in the MPC2000/XL, there was a small profit to be made but I have bigger fish to fry.
