assigning samples to pads

Hey all, a friend's leant me his MPC1000 (jjos2xl v.3.18) to play some shows with,

I've uploaded a heap of samples from my mac to the flash card and want to ASSIGN them to PADS using all 4 PAD BANKS, and I haven't got a clue how to do this, and can't find any instructions under jjos2xl

Please help! I've got shows starting next week, and I'm a flapping!!!!

its called a program. you gotta make a program. then choose that program on the track. then done. There is a link on the front page to the manual.

that is os update for mac download. follow instructions.

that is XL manual. Making programs and such is pretty much same in akai OS, see link on front page under MPC OSs.

Hey thanks, thats got me half way there!

have lost a lot when saving a program though!!, think I've got it though...

and some of the files won't load up, error message is 'File not found!!'

it reads when hooked up to my Mac though, any ideas?

I also get 'Directory error!!'

when trying to save the program??
