MPC500 or MPC Studio

The guy who sold me the MPC 500 and XR-20 included also included the 128mb RAM Upgrade, a 2GB memory card, and an Akai Pro Soundcard for free!

Point is you will upgrade inevitably, I don't know anyone that got into MPC's and continually used the 500 as their primary machine. Granted it has it's place in the MPC lineup, it's just limited. But you say your gonna get a studio so that takes care of that. Lots of hardcore MPC users want a spare 500 lying around so you can definitely make your money back if you ever sell the 500.

Not sure about primary machine but the 500 has been Ill Green's for as long as I've been a member here. God knows how long before hand.

Thanks dude. It was honestly such a lucky find, I searched up MPC500 into twitter and noticed some guy selling both of the machines for 300$ and bought them right away

damnnnn, i wanted to get both of those too actually, the xr20 has some nice drums, i think youll like sequencing it with your mpc 500.

thats what i wanted to do.

i have a 1k that does me just fine for the time being tho.

The 500 is merely misunderstood. With the right user, you can get busy.

My MPC500 and XR20 are coming in tomorrow

I'm already ordering upgrades for the 500, any suggestions?

Yup, the MPC500 is the green lion but the MV-8800 is the black lion of my voltronic studio

Had the 500 since they first came out in 2006, actually I bought two, but you know the rat story...
