Hello forum!

Maybe you guys can help.. I'm struggling trying to import stuff i've composed on Maschine into my MPC (2000xl & 1000).

The reason for this is so I can perform out of the box on occasion - On the MP with track mutes and such.

The NI is a great tool to sketch out ideas, patterns, sound design, and just switch up the flow.. but I'd ultimatley like to track some of that back onto the MPC on occasion.

cheers and thanks for any input!

pretty sure you are just going to have to rebuild the programs on the mpc from scratch. copy the samples you used in maschine to a card, pop in mpc, load up and start assigning to pads.

make sure your pads midi note numbers matches exactly what you have in maschine.

then export midi sequences from maschine, and drop those into the mpc.

alternatively, you could resample some loops onto your mpc, but you might run out of memory quickly.

basically though, you are going to have to put in some work to go this route. if you want to use the mpc, i'd suggest just starting in the mpc next time.

Thanks td, hoping there was a work around but that's cool. Maybe the Ren will be a solution in the future.

cheers!

I used to have a similar workflow.. can understand the draw.
...anyway consider not wasting time doing the drums in machine, you'll come up with something better in the mpc anyway... maybe use a hihat pattern in maschine just to have a percussive layer as a guide when building up your song elements..

Also experiment sampling some of the sounds/stems though the mpc inputs, in some cases you might prefer the sound over just importing them.
