Okay so MPC's with a spdif out operate at 44.1, 16-bit right? (Yes, the 4000 can do 24/96). I have a PT session opened up at 32-bit floating 96 kHz sample rate....why is my mpc able to be seen by the DAW?
I'm thinking it is due to clocking internally on the Digi003R rather than externally clocking from the MPC? I thought that the session and the device outputting the digital signal had to be sync'd to the same bit/sample rates (I know it has to be that way for the mpc spdif inputs...)
Really confused right now, lmfao. Wondering how the spdif signal out of the mpc will be modified by the AD/DA? I know spdif is digital, but if there is a increase in sample and bit rates, would this not modify the signal???
This isn't critical as I'm just using the spdif rather than analog main outs for monitoring/chopping samples. Everything gets tracked out over analog individual outs.
Probably a really simple answer, but from what I understand about a digital signal, this should not work??
