Sorry, I don't have any pics to post.

i think i remember damien telling a story about trying to remove the akai logo with acetone and the paint came right off... for whatever it's worth, they sell that front panel at mpcstuff for ten bucks... :smoker:

thanks guys, just got this new desk a couple days ago and im super happy about it, gonna make some diy monitor pads this week, then ill be set. might also find a cool poster to hang up in between my monitors to give me some inspiration.

crossings was right about the acetone, but if you look close, youll notice that this is a different case than that one was...the akai logo is intact here, its the front panel thats **** up.
last week, i painted everything white, then tried to use a label maker on the lettering, but that loooked like shit. then i went and bought some natural paint remover and tried to take the white paint off and keep the black intact, but the scouring pad was too abrasive and took everything off, so i sealed the front piece with a semi gloss rusto, then ordered a new metal case from mpc stuff.
so now i have an extra super **** up metal case, i might get it customized next year and when i ship it off i can still use my mpc in the meantime. :)

@ juke, the old macbook pros are the way to go, i cant stand the ones with no trackpads. 8)

hopefully i can upgrade the RAM and HD in it this year, maybe put 2 HD's in it and take out the disk drive.
