well the 60ii doesn't look as nice,
the 60ii it doesn't have a padded wrist rest,
you cant untilt the 60ii screen,
the 60ii is wider than the original...
it takes up more room...

the only change was the screen, the case is plastic, the 60ii came with the headphone output stock.. that mod is possible on the original. the 60ii works well though... I guess I might prefer having the original... but maybe not. it doesn't really matter.

Difference in resale price depend on what's in the box like RAM memory, scsi board, and OS chip. Those alone can cost more than the unit itself and are harder to find on the market these days.

Well if there's someone who knows, asking Roger Linn is not a bad place to start. If you ask nicely he might give you some answers, he's usually pretty helpful.

Armen isn't really a good gauge on what is a reasonable price or not, he's known for overcharging people because he can get away with it

+1

I love the 60’s wedge design and the armrest but the 60II just takes me Back to The Future.

Its Such a comfy machine to work on and a bold design for its time.

I think both models are design classics, for different reasons. The 60II was clearly intended to reduce the costs of production and shipping weight while ushering in a more streamlined 90's design aesthetic. I happen to have both right beside me (for sale  ) as I type this.

And below are another couple of 60's I sold earlier this year to happy customers.

Spot the difference...

I reckon the production numbers are relatively small (<5000), remember the MPC60 had a list price of around $3200 back in 19898. You needed deep pockets to buy one. One of the 60's I picked up still had the original price tag stuck underneath, it was about $2699 IIRC. I took a pic but cant find it now.
