usb not mounting

Hey, I'm basically trying to wipe all the samples/programs/sequences off my hard drive....

I have tried formatting the drive, but an option only comes up for wiping the memory card. And when I hook up the usb to my macbook, and press mount on the mpc, nothing happens.

If I go into 'System Profiler' on my computer, it comes up with 'mpc1000' but I cant access the drive... I am wondering whether this is because I am running jjos .3.08... I've tried searching for drivers but cant seem to find anything. Any help would be much appreciated,

When on the load/save screens turn the jog dial with "memory card" highlighted and switch to hard drive. With an HD in there and a CF in the slot it defaults to the CF first (probably because it's standard issue or first in the IDE device order).

For the computer mounting I think just don't have a CF card in there, or select HD before pressing USB to mount on the MPC's screen.

I haven't plugged mine in the pc for a while, but I'm almost positive that's all you need to do.

But yeah definitely format the internal from the MPC OS.

hmmm... tried that and still no joy... any other ideas??
