Help Needed: Sampling from a Turntable.

Okay so I just bought a Technics 1210 MK2 and I hooked the RCA cables into my MPC Renaissance but I get no sound. I am running the Audio Output and Input through my Universal Audio Apollo Quad audio interface but it doesn't seem to be working. The dB indicator above the Mic In and Phono In seems to light up when I use the RCA to RCA but the levels meter doesn't even move to show that it's receiving a signal. Then when I use my RCA to TS 1/4 Monster Cables the dB indicator doesn't even move. I have a phono pre amp so now I'm not sure what to do. Can anyone help me please??

See if this can help you any. Use the Ren as your Audio driver in the MPC software and that you have the Direct Mon knob on the MPC to Input and see if you can get a sound.
