Sup, can't get program mod to work the right way round...

I want to modulate the attack of a sample depending on how hard i hit it (eg, say for hi hats or somthin). I select the sample, and on edit page go to the program mod window, select velocity for the source, and env attack for the destination. Great, but it has a fast attack when i hit it soft, and a soft attack when i hit it hard!... I've tried playing with the 'depth' but doesn't seem to make a difference... Any ideas on how i can switch this round so it has a fast attack at full velocity and slow attack at lower velocity much appreciated.

The picture on the ref manaul (around page 204) shows depth values as +034 and +100. This suggests that the depth value can also be negative. If this works indeed, try setting depth to a negative value like -050 and see if it changes things.

Yea as I said, I tried playing with depth but doesn't seem to make a diff whether positive or negative. Can anyone else shed any light?

What is the default attack value then? If you apply negative modulation, you have to make sure that the attack value is set to a slooow value, so that the modulation can make it faster. But if the attack is set to the most fast value (0), the modulation can't do anyhting.

Thanks! But I just hope the above made sense.

The 4k should have come today, but I was just told to wait one more day. Looks like I'm going to have a nice weekend! And from then on I no longer have to guess when making contributions here. :D
